What can you plan for free in Mooiev?
Mooiev is browser-based film pre-production software for independent filmmakers, film students and small crews. You can write a screenplay, plan shots and storyboards with your own references, organize shoot days, prepare call sheets, track crew and budgets, and export production PDFs in the same project. AI image generation is optional; planning your film does not require generating images.
The Free plan costs $0 and includes 2 active projects, 50 MB of storage and 3 AI image credits per month. Standard storyboard images use 1 credit; high-quality images use 4 and a two-pass render adds 1. Client sharing is not included in Free. Starter costs $9.49 per month, with unlimited active projects, 1 GB of storage, client sharing and 10 monthly image credits; other AI generation and analysis tools are not included in Starter. Prices are in USD; applicable taxes may be added.
For a short film, start with one scene: write or import the screenplay, review its breakdown, add shots and your references, arrange the shooting day, then prepare and export the call sheet. Can I use Mooiev without AI?
Yes. Write your screenplay, add your own references, plan shots and organize production manually. AI tools are optional and have separate usage allowances.
What is included in Starter?
Starter includes the manual filmmaking workflow: screenwriting, shot planning with your own references, schedules, crew, budgets and PDF exports, with 20 GB total storage and 10 AI image credits per month. Other AI generation and analysis tools are not included. Extra image credits are purchased separately.
How does annual billing work?
Starter is billed monthly. Pro is $290 per year and Studio is $690 per year, charged as one annual payment. Usage allowances still renew monthly. Sign in to choose your plan and billing period in Plans & Billing before checkout.
How is video analysis counted?
Video analysis is counted in scenes, not uploaded videos. A video with ten analyzed scenes uses ten units of your allowance. Daily and per-upload limits also apply.
How are image credits counted?
A standard storyboard image or portrait uses 1 credit. A high-quality storyboard image uses 4 credits, and a two-pass render uses 1 additional credit. Regeneration uses credits too. For example, 10 credits can produce 10 standard images or 2 high-quality images with 2 credits left. Failed image generations are refunded.
What if I need more AI images?
Extra image credit packs are listed in Plans & Billing. Buying is enabled only when a live checkout is configured. Purchased image credits are used after your monthly storyboard allowance and carry over between months. They are separate from the subscription.
Can I cancel a paid plan?
You can manage or cancel your subscription in Plans & Billing. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues through the paid period.
