MOOIEV / PRODUCTION

Shot list software.
Make coverage shootable.

Start with one scene. Write or import your script, review the coverage, then build your shot list with framing, camera movement and director’s notes. Keep the plan connected to your storyboard and shoot days.

Start free. Review suggestions before using them on set.

Build a shot list the crew can use

  1. Start from the scene

Read the action and decide what the audience needs to see. Give each shot a scene reference and a stable identifier.

  2. Record the setup

Add framing, camera angle, movement, lens notes and the action. Keep creative intent with the technical description.

  3. Review shooting order

Compare the shot list with the storyboard and schedule. Group coverage around location access and setups while preserving the scene references.

  4. Take the list to set

Use the free maker for CSV export or printing, or keep the list in a full production project. Inspect the sample PDF before choosing a layout.

The standalone shot list maker works without an account. Connected production projects require signing in. See current plans and allowances.

Keep creative intent beside technical detail

A useful shot list explains both what to film and why it matters. Give each setup an identifier, a framing choice, relevant movement or lens notes and an estimate the crew can discuss. Technical detail becomes useful when it supports the dramatic purpose of the shot.

Move from scene order to shooting order

The screenplay tells the story in one order; access, light and camera setup may make another order more practical on set. Review the same coverage in the shooting plan and account for resets, travel and breaks. The sample project contains 35 planned shots, not a claim about how many shots any crew can finish in a day.

Questions about shot lists

Is there a free standalone shot list maker?

Yes. The public tool lets you add and arrange shots, export CSV and print a document without creating a full production project.

Can I inspect shot details in the demonstration?

The product video shows the shot list, direction notes and camera details. The sample PDF gallery also provides an exported shot list.
