A shot list turns a scene into the camera coverage you intend to capture. Give each shot a scene number and a shot reference, then describe the framing and action. Add a lens, camera movement and estimated setup time when those decisions are useful to your crew.
This shot list maker starts with a three-shot scene: a wide view of a train platform, a medium shot of the character and a close-up of the ticket in her hand. Edit the example or choose Start blank. You can add up to 60 shots and move them into your intended shooting order without changing their shot references.
Start with the action the audience needs to understand. A wide shot can establish geography; a medium shot can carry a performance; a close-up can isolate a reaction or story detail. These are choices for your scene, not a requirement to use every shot size.
Use the description for what happens in the frame. Use movement for a locked-off camera, a pan, a dolly move or another intended move. Once the coverage is clear, reorder shots to suit your location, lighting and cast availability. This list does not create a shooting schedule or check continuity for you.
The total adds the setup minutes you enter for each shot. Blank entries are not estimated and add zero; they are counted separately so you can see what remains unplanned. Use whole minutes from 0 to 1,440 per shot.
Setup time is your estimate for preparing a shot. The total excludes takes, rehearsals, breaks, meals, travel, company moves and other production time. Allow for those separately when building the day’s schedule.
Download CSV produces an editable table with the project title and every shot in the current order. Open it in your spreadsheet app to continue working or share it with a collaborator. Text that begins like a spreadsheet formula is prefixed with an apostrophe for safer opening.
Print / PDF opens a clean, light print view in a new tab. Use its Print / Save PDF button, then select a printer or your browser’s Save as PDF option. Review the preview before saving; a long list can span several pages.
Your draft is saved only in this browser when local storage is available. It does not sync to a Mooiev account or another device, and clearing browser data can erase it. Keep a CSV or PDF copy. You can start a full project in Mooiev for broader production planning; this free tool does not automatically import its draft into that project.
