Keep a usable wide shot, then cover each person’s response. Grouping camera positions can reduce resets; an insert still needs its own setup estimate. Check eyelines and screen direction with the director and camera team.

What belongs in a film shot list?

Use a scene and shot reference, framing, a concrete action or story purpose, lens, camera movement and a setup estimate. One row should describe one planned shot. These references let the crew discuss a shot without reciting the whole scene.

How is a shot list different from a storyboard or shooting schedule?

A shot list names the coverage. A storyboard pictures it. A schedule budgets time for the work. Setup minutes here exclude rehearsals, takes, resets, meals and travel; they are not a predicted wrap time.

Can I change the order and export a blank template?
