How do I estimate a video file’s size?
Use average video bitrate, recorded duration and camera count. 100 Mbps for one recorded hour is 45 GB before audio or extra files. The storage plan then adds your full copies and chosen allowance.
Does “4K” tell me how much storage I need?
No. Resolution, frame rate, codec and compression affect bitrate. Enter the bitrate of the recording mode you actually plan to use. Variable-bitrate files can differ from this estimate.
